Some years ago I came across a video made by the people for Sport Auto Magazine ( http://www.sportauto.de/ ), which had a race between a Dodge Viper SRT10, Porsche GT3 RS (997), and a Audi R8. The race was staged and took place on the Autobahn. But the filming that was done to make the movie was impeccable. The sound of all three exhaust can be heard clearly and sound better if your speakers are up on max. This is an old mini film but still very entertaining.
Here is the rest of the photos I managed to take before I had run out of room on the SD card….Naturally a MOPAR will start out 🙂
I felt this would have been just as good a Bumble Bee Car. This next one is a car I would want if I were a traveler
As I turned around there was an all Nissan Booth….lucky me
This looked like a beast and that it could set some good times on a track. It appeared to be a 930 slant nose
Yet another GT40 car
I have always wanted a Vette in this generation. This to me is the greatest of them all.
Here are others I saw while roaming around
I am sure the Stang fans will be happy to see these, I sure was.
Then to end the show with a beautiful car in its own right…a Pantera
til next time….
Ok I had some time to get away from the onslaught of work. When I had entered the convention center, where the event was held, I was greeted by something totally wicked
yes that is two blowers on a Chevy engine…not waisting any people’s time who had went to the venue they made sure this was greeting you at the front door!!!! And here is what it was in….plus the specs
Now most of the show was dominated by Chevy vehicles, followed very closely by the Blue Ovals (Ford). I personally am favored towards MOPARS and though they were there, Texas loves the other two more…..case in point
Next in line were two vehicle made by House of Hot Rods & Classics, based out of Texas. I am a fellow bike rider and was pleased to see this piece of work along with…you guessed it….another chevy
Next is something not just Ford followers can appreciate, but rather almost all interested in Motorsports!!! Now I was informed this was a kit car, but WOW just look at this!!!!
Because the glare was so bad I could not get any picture of the inside of the GT40, but was lucky that this next Blue Oval did have a window glare preventing a shot of the inside
Finally a Mopar, score!!!!
Reminds me of the godfather movie…
one fast delivery rust bucket
Look at those tires!!!!
Well I have about half of what I want to put up and I can not spend to long on here but hopefully will get to post the rest today at a later time if not in the next few days I will, so keep coming back….til next time
Well the friend with the SRT-4 wanted to do something to his car before his 7 hour trip back to school. Yes he took his 290 whp [17psi max (12psi daily)] car on a 7 hour trip. He also has 120k miles on the original block and turbo (no rebuild). But I am not hear to bore you with the specs but rather the attempt to plasti dip the whole hood and bit and pieces of the fascia.
Initially we were cautious but after the first spray there was no turning back…or is there?
Good thing it can come off easily when the time comes he no longer wants it. It is in full motion here in the U.S. by a select few people. Here is one business doing an Audi S4 in a custom color
And here is a done up Pontiac GTO or Holden Monaro with it being removed with only his bare hands…
Some report months with no damage to the paint on wheels!!! But be aware that it will take time as around 5 coats are needed.
case in point, darkness is falling
finally finished and have to say it does not look half bad. What really makes dear to the owner is it is easy to accomplish and remove. Not to mention the total sum was $20 USD for the paint of 4 coats, $1.50 USD for blue tape, free paper to cover non sprayed areas, and $4.80 for can sprayer….thats it!!! The owner took it on a 8 hour trip like this 4 days later and all held up well.
I was going through some old videos and found a dusty project that I would like to share. For the past few day, I have led on that a friend of mine has a Dodge Neon SRT4 and figured I will show it in action. Both these cars are/were daily driven and taken on numerous road trips. As stated many times before, a sports car should in compass everything a car is fundamentally supposed to do.
